All the apps/services here meet our strict standards:

  • AFFORDABLE: We’re okay paying for good apps, but within reason
  • USER-FRIENDLY: We prefer apps that are simple to use out of the box, with the possibility of fancier features as we become more comfortable. And cross-platform functionality is a big deal. We want to use the app on our iPhones, MacBooks, Chromebooks, Windows, and the web with ease.
  • AESTHETICALLY PLEASING: This may not be a deal-breaker, necessarily, but if an app is clunky, or just all around ugly, we’re not fans. We may use it, but we probably won’t recommend it or stop looking for something better.

When available, clicking on an app or service will take you to the app’s referral page with OUR link. This means you may get a discount and we may get some love from the developer. We do NOT receive compensation to share any of the apps here, and you’re welcome to sign up on your own without using our referral link. Refer to our Disclaimer for more info.
